Being
Sighs in the trees
Being
Being in this present moment, in this garden, in this time of hope, learning to listen to God in the lapping water’s edge, in the singing of the birds in the sound of the oars on the water, the sighs of the trees, their leaves rustling in the wind, like a long breath.
This is what I am leaning and learning - that in this moment I can draw close to God, who is ever present even when I am lost in the cares of this life.
I need nature to refocus me on beauty, truth and love. The free gift of nature encourages me to reconnect with my Creator, which is what we have in natural beauty, beauty all around us echoing the beauty within, which is the small, still, voice of God opening the door and beckoning us in.
Today perhaps try to find a moment to step out into the sunshine, or rain, to snatch a glimpse of the sky, to soak in the glory of it, and to listen to the wind in the trees and the birdsong. To just stay still in that present moment for a moment, just being, being present as our present to God and….
…Be blessed!
